Everything about our stay in San Francisco was great except the cold and cough that laid Anne low for a couple of days. We were blessed with superb weather, which SF is not famous for, which meant that we had superb views from various high points and viewing points around Oakland Bay. Nancy and Peder offered us great hoispitality, kindness and lots of their good company, despite their very busy lives and supporting one of their daughter through the tragic loss of her best friend in a horrific accident. For us, SF lived up to its expectations as a beautiful city with a surprise round every quarter and extraordinary diversity, particularly in ethnic groups.

As we leave for Quito tomorrow and internet contact will be more difficult, I am going to let the pictures of San Francisco speak for themselves.

Wow! what an exciting time
VERY envious of all the fantastic experiences you are having and thoroughly enjoying sharing it with you vicariously.
Am wondering, however, how many days I need to set aside to look through Anne's albums when you come back!
