Where I stayed
Worse Timeshare Ever!
As you can imagine I had a bit of a hangover from partying with that bar owner at the Peppers 2 seasonal grand opening last night, so today I thought I would just take it easy and go explore the town of Sant Antoni which is just across the bay from my timeshare.
I had to walk down to the nearby pier to catch the ferry boat which takes you across the bay. Along the way I passed several half built condo and hotel projects that were abandoned over two years ago due to the current global financial crisis. The Swedish bar owner told me they don't know when or if they will ever be finished. Someone needs to do something with them because right now they sit as eyesores along the waterfront.
The ferry boat ride was great and really gives you a chance to see the city as you cross the bay, then it drops you off right in the middle of town. San An (That's what the locals call it) is your average coastal town with plenty of shops and restaurants, but what it's known for of course are all the bars and nightclubs that cater to the young European party crowd. Honestly, the places are nothing special. I'd post some photos for you, but during the day they look like real dumps LOL!
After walking the streets of downtown I decided to make my way back along the shoreline and beaches. It's quite a walk (several miles) but there was plenty to see along the way. A bartender practicing his "Cocktail" moves on the beach. There's a cool old windmill. And there are these two big boats that apparently ran aground some time ago right in the middle of the beach! I can't believe they just left them there.
As I got closer to my timeshare things got more depressing. Dozens of abandoned buildings and those half built condos again. I passed this one Spanish themed place that would be perfect for my new high-end tequila bar. Johnny Cabos! What do you think?
This looks like it was once a great little Spanish coastal town. I know, besides drinking and dancing things sound kinda boring, but don't worry I've got some activities planned to keep me busy here for the rest of the week. Stay tuned…..

Wake me up when you hit Ukraine.
Where are you pictures from partying???
Wake me up when you hit Canne Film Festival
Just wake me up!!
You have to remember I'm on a strict budget. And I'm not visiting Europe to drink cheap liquor and pick up 20 year old, chunky, pasty white, tattooed, pierced British and Irish chics, which is what I'm surrounded by. I've got to pace myself....
Frank & Evie: LOL!
JB: Are you shooting video? Fortunately the past 2-1/2 weeks will just be a 30-sec montage in the eventual Johnny Cabo reality show
