Today we are leaving west Texas and heading into Hill Country. We read that one of the most popular vacation spots in this area is Kerrville, so that's where we’re going.  As we go along the landscape is turning just a little greener as we enter the hills where there are lots of oak trees and shrubs.

We are staying at Guadalupe River RV Resort because it has a park-like setting and it is right on the Guadalupe River.  We got a spot where we can see the river right out our front door.  This is a beautiful place and they have spaces for park model RV’s that are like little houses.  I guess that folks pay for the space and just keep them here year round.  They are really quite nice.  This place has three pools (two are adult only).

Kerrville is home to a small Christian college.  We drove around the town, but were not especially taken with what we saw.  Nice little place to visit, but …   Oh, yes, when we decided to go for our little ride, neither of us unplugged the electrical cord.  So, we are driving along the highway and a lady is giving us the finger, no, not that one, the one that points to the back of the vehicle, where we are dragging our cord along.  John gets out and stows it away.  Meanwhile, I’m picturing the electrical box back at the RV park torn down and laying on the ground, sparks flying, wondering how much that will cost.

On we go through town, until a man starts giving us the finger.  This time he is pointing at our roof.  John pulls over on the sidewalk on a narrow, busy street.  Yes, our antenna is up and it is a miracle it has not snagged one of these low –hanging power or phone lines all over the place.  Is this suppose to be funny, like in a sitcom, and we laugh and laugh?  I really wasn’t thinking in that direction by this time.

Back at the ranch…the electrical box was fine, we took a delightful long walk around the grounds and along the river, had a nice dinner, did the laundry together and started to laugh again.
