We made it through the night and gave thanks.  Made a stop at this big vintage car indoor showroom/storage facility before we hit the road.  There must have been about 100 really cool cars from the early 1900's to current foreign sports cars.  John was especially taken with the old Chevelle muscle cars.  I think he would really like to find a fixer-upper for his next auto project.  If he ever finishes the '52, that is.

Then we headed down the road, trying to keep all four tires on the ground.  Arrived in Lubbock and found our way "around" pretty easily as the interstate runs in a complete circle around the city.  It works very well and several cities down here use the same design.

Stayed in a park that was mostly full of monthly renters (152).  Took our nightly walk around the park.  One thing about most Texans we've met, they are friendly.  Most people you pass by will say hello or ask how you are, have a smile to share..  We had dinner at the Cracker Barrel and the waitress was so sweet, addressing us as "Ma'am and Sir" and smiling at our requests.  Yummy food, too.
