Hi all and welcome to TK and thejobee's Travel Log! I am going to do my best from here on out to keep this thing updated as we continue to lose ourselves traveling around the world.
Tim and I returned from Nicaragua on August 22nd to attend the wedding of two of our best friends Dave "Dahbeed" Kniffin and Lydia "Lyd" Day. We're not sure how long we'll be Stateside, but then again, not knowing where we're going next or when is not a new concept in our lives...enjoy!
We are here in Hayward, California trying to catch up on work and see some of Tim's best friends in the area. Mal was nice enough to lend us his condo for the 3 nights we are here and we've already managed to take over the place. In just 48 hours we have him set up with wireless Internet and more importantly, he is now the proud owner of a plunger (we had to find out the hard way that he didn't already have one).
We had a great time at "camp" up at Mountain Meadow Ranch in Susanville, California. This was the site of Dave and Lyd's wedding. It was amazing! Comfortably informal yet at the same time absolutely beautiful. They were both at the top of their game (like they ever aren't?), and everyone had a great time.
When we arrived in the Bay Area we started our visit with a "Team" BBQ (for those of you who don't know the "Team" refers to Tim and his tight group of friends and their significant others) at the Pickles (aka The Akeman's, LB and Pickle). We celebrated everyone being together along with congratulating the Pickle's on their new house.
Today was really fun as Tim and I actually got out of the house and walked around East Beach by the Golden Gate Bridge. It was nice to be outside and the weather was perfect! We were able to see all of the skyline!
So, hopefully we'll have more news soon as we have the Matt Costa concert tomorrow and then are off to SB to celebrate Tim's birthday.
Miss you all!
