I didn't get as much done as I had hoped yesterday, since I still wasn't feeling 100%, and still don't.

I went to the British Library in the morning which was fascinating and frustrating at the same time. It's amazing to see such important and famous documents: the Codex Sinaiticus and the Codex Alexandrinus (two of the three most ancient copies of the Bible extant), several copies of the Magna Carta, Gutenberg Bibles, Shakespeare's plays in quarto, Chaucer, Malory, handwritten scores by Mozart, Beethoven, Handel, and even the Beetles.... It is a truly fascinating place, but frustrating because no photos may be taken.

In the afternoon I slept and then took the tube out to a hotel near the airport, so I wouldn't have to get up at 04:00 to be sure to make my flight this morning. If I were in good form that wouldn't bother me, but since I'm not I moved.

This morning all went smoothly: I caught my 07:15 flight to Paris where I transferred to the Delta non-stop to Cincinnati. I arrived home in mid-afternoon local time, after a long day, and now I look forward to a few days of R&R to get well and back up to speed.

Thanks for following along on this trip. My next trip to Africa should be in a little less that six weeks if all goes as planned.
