Well we are still into our trip with Jena's family in the van and we have continued at a thousand miles an hour. We still haven’t quite got into the fast rhythm of their traveling, as it is so different from how we were going.
This day we had come into a town called Beaune (Boon) and it is a little ancient town where the tag alongs had a bed and breakfast. The owners were very lovely to us and the fellow there was hilariously affectionate to Loren, and spoke not a word of English. He did manage though to get some of his blood on Loren’s shirt, which was great. Jena assured him that his "château" was tre bien! Which lit him up.

We spent that evening wandering around the old town and eventually settled in a small restaurant to eat and watch the world cup final. A small crowd of Netherland supporters were disgraced by a 1-0 loss to Espania and their orange garb became the colour of shame as they slinked away into the night. No rioting though. They were Dutch, and probably too stoned to get angry.

Later on we tried to sneak into the parent’s apartment to have a shower but we were being spied on by the land lady and we had to make an awkward retreat back to the van before she yelled at us.
