We drove out of Dover in search of the Seven Sisters (white cliffs along the coast). The rain came down hard and we stopped for the night along a river in a car park. We weren't meant to be there, but no one kicked us out!

Nice morning walk on a farm (Chyngton Farm) took us to the ocean along a river where we saw the last of the Seven Sisters. We saw lots of baby rabbits, sheep and cows.

Off to Alfriston. The cutest little country town, too narrow to park anywhere! We were here because the National Trust brought us this way to see the first site they ever bought, an old thatched roof clergy house. Pity it wasn’t open! Looked nice from the outside though. The church and the town was like a much larger, older and greener version of Morpeth. And then some!

Still no coffee maker! Danggit!

We wondered into a tea house where the smell of freshly baked scones enticed us in. Cheese scones and local tea made our cold bodies warm again. And interesting travel conversation with the tea house owners.

Back on the road again, we’re on our way to Brighton.
