The famous wealth of Monte Carlo was absurd. Completely shameless, over-the-top displays of the unfathomably rich. We think they kill homeless people there. Because seriously, the town is filled with money, people with money, and the tourists who come to take pictures of them.
Joel and I were among them, staring in disbelief. Who are these people?!?! The valet parking lot outside the Casino Monte Carlo looking like a car museum. We were impressed and nauseated at the same time.
We figured we couldn't leave Monte Carlo with placing at least one bet in a casino. So we gamed for 5 minutes and quickly lost 20 euro, but now we can say that we gambled in Monte-Carlo. End of that story.
The old town of Monaco was classic- Perfectly manicured gardens, narrow winding streets, awesome views from the royal palace and the harbors below. Definitely one of the more interesting daytrips we've taken so far.

Monte Carlo. Nice. Did you get to see the poker 'plaques' instead of chips? Those seem pretty cool.
