20 Miles to Go!

We leave our motel at Beaver Creek, Yukon Territory, our bellies full of Caribou sausage (12,000 wolves can't be wrong) and eggs.  It's just 20 miles to the border, and about 400 miles to Wasilla, our temporary landing spot at my parents Knik road home.  The road has been terrific, though the frost heaves from Destruction Bay to Glen Allen will  give us entertaining stories better told than relived. 


The kids are psyched to get off the road, and it's a quick trip to Granma and Granpa's house.








On the way to Wasilla we pause to enjoy the scenery, and the Alaska range and Matanuska glacier accommodate my need for snapshots.




In total on our trip we've driven 4140.1 miles, taking 13 days to travel over two countries, including 4 states and 2 territories, and a whole bunch of friends and family.  We had our share of excitement and lots of wonderful memories.  Sparrow and Otto are looking forward to a summer in the North, and I'm looking forward to a little less driving.  Cheers for reading my blog!  Hope you have enjoyed it, and I encourage you to make your own next time you travel, and if you do, make sure and send me the link :)
