What I did
A lot of traffic

So yesterday, we got all excited when we saw a huge billboard announcing "WINE FESTIVAL" in the next town we were headed to.  I said " wow, this will be very cool, we need to check it out".  So we were prepared to do a little sipping, and little interaction with the locals, etc.  Only thing was, a tree apparently blocked an important part of the billboard.  It was actually a "SWINE FESTIVAL".  Oink oink.

You can't believe the traffic through Houston.  We violated out policy of no interstates, and jumped on Route 10 that sped up our approach to San Antonio.  You'd think it would be easy to drive the freeways, but actually, there's bumper to bumper traffic, people shifting lanes 2 feet in front of you, it seems, hot doggers in muscle cars flying by at a gazillion miles an hour.  Man, tense city, if you ask me.

Anyway, we're at this very cool RV park in San Antonio, with a beautiful pool, great facilities so we're going to chill here for 3 days, mainly to get Chinook serviced (which it badly needs), do laundry before the hamper explodes, get my smartphone fixed (the Tufie tripped, dropped it and shattered the glass face (spaz).

So, you may not see a blog tomorrow, or the next day - we'll see.
