New Year's Eve 2008 - Our visas arrived today, so we are allowed to enter India and China.  I was beginning to wonder whether they would arrive.  It cost $1500 for all 5 of us to get 2 visas each.  I used the service that Semester at Sea recommended....maybe not the cheapest option but it was easy. 

We have gotten shots for Hepatitis A and B, tetnus, and typhoid.  We have prescriptions for malaria pills but have not filled them yet...another item on the "to do" list.

Hello Tompsong gang-
I am SO excited to hear about your new venture--wow--jeaous!! And you get to go to Cape Town and Namibia (where I was born!) and Mauritius (paradise!). Let me know how oyu like those 3? Everything sounds so amazing and exotic--I will keep posted on the blog. Have the best trip ever!!!

Elvyn - I never knew you were born in Namibia! Are there any tennis monuments named for you there? But I've been hoping you can recommend what to visit in Cape Town. Any suggestions?
