Lets go shopping!!!  A call from Dolly and we are infected by her enthusiasm.....off to Pig Pine Flea Market and then on to Key West for lunch.  The Flea Market covers acres and has just about everything anyone might need or want.  I found terrific sweet Florida onions along with other fresh local veggies!  A perfect lime green t-shirt and a few gifties for myself and others.

Then onto Key West to see the sights and hear the sounds and smell the drifting aromas of onions, garlic, pizza, oysters, fried chicken and all that makes your mouth water!  Lots of famous landmarks pop up in Key West from Tony's Saloon famous for bras being tacked tot he ceiling to Sloppy Joe's, made famous by being the favorite haunt of Hemingway.

Mallory Square is the farthest West one can go in Key West.  It is a huge beautiful park right on the water.  There are restaurants and shops of every description.  Cruise ships come in this deep water port, you can see the back of one in the pictures below.  Every evening hundreds of people show up to watch the sunset as they are entertained by street performers doing their best for tips.   The Original Historic Port on the North side of town is filled with activity with a different look and feel entirely.  People having fun everywhere.  Boats of every description are moored at this Historic Key West Port.  A Ferry runs from and to Ft. Meyers a couple times a day.  What a way to commute!!  Everywhere you look there is another terrific looking restaurant touting the freshest fish and raw bar in Key West.  We ended our Dick and Dolly tour with a visit to the Southern most point in the USA and Key West's South Beach.  They told us we must come back to go through the museum and share in the Sunset at Mallory Square.

Key West is a metropolis in the style of the Florida Keys!!

I love Key West. One of the few places I have been that you have been on your journey. Nothing like an adult beverage at sunset at Mallory Square. I am surprised yoou didn't go to Hemingway House to see the six-toed descendants of his cats. I think I see one of my bras at Captain Tony's. I wonder if you can grab the purple one in the corner and hold it for me. Thanks a lot.
