Once again it is time for our annual lunch with family friend, Will Stephens,  from Brewster, NY where I (Jodie) was born and raised.  Andy and I eagerly pack up some smoked fish to be ready to share our cooking with Will's.  He is a cook that clearly has a love of food and a good relationship with his grill and kitchen.  Will is also adorable in his apron wielding a spatula while assuring us that Sidney is happy to see us.  Her bark is merely her way of saying "hi" before she climbs in your lap!!

Darcy, my sister, arrives at the same time and so the party begins.  As usual, Will has lots of variety and pizazz in his choice of drinks and appetizers as we dig into guacamole, shrimp cocktail made from the most amazing shrimp, our smoked fish and chips and dips.  All yum!

After much catching up on the families, Will fired up his grill and began making us some delicious hamburgers.   Great meat and beautifully cooked.  He had all the fixingsof fresh lettuce, sweet Florida onion slices and vine ripened tomatoes set up to use as Darcy and I set the table out on his balcony overlooking his pool and canal.  Beyond the canal we can see the Ocean and Sanibel Island.  It was a beautiful, rather warm day as we enjoyed each other's company and Will's delightful lunch!

Fresh Florida Strawberries with whipped cream and a Starbuck's Frappicino rounded off the meal.  As we drove on down to Darcy's house in Estero we talked non-stop about how terrific it is to have friends like Will.  He is like family and it is so wonderful to hear stories about Mom and Dad years ago as well as the current political trends going on in Brewster today.

Thanks Will for a memorable lunch once again!!!
