Flying from Sydney on Aerolineas Argentineas to Auckland was ok but wouldn't be our first airline. We stayed there 3 nights and managed to get the much needed haircut, saw another Glaswegian ( Billy Connolly who was very good) and also Brigette Mac Mac a friend from Marsh days. We then flew down to Wellington and stayed with Karyn McKenna and her lovely family before setting off on our tour of NZ. We visited some lovely places including Napier, Hawke's bay, Bay of Plenty and Bay of Islands. This land is really made for Hobbits!
