Celebrated Lindsay and Chris' big day!

The Hanger + McCulloh wedding made for a fantastic day full of laughing, happy tears, beautiful flowers by Homestead Gardens, delicious cake and lots of dancing!   As Lindsay's dad said last night I think it was the greatest concentration of Iowa State Alumni the city of Annapolis has ever seen....and man do they know how to have fun!  I think my feet will ache for a few days, not because of my heels, but because of all the dancing.

After a much needed nap I headed back down to Annapolis for dinner with the family (probably the last seafood I will have for a while).  It was a very entertaining almost 26th birthday dinner.  Now it is time for some last minute packing and organizing before I leave for Amman tomorrow.  I am taking an overnight flight from DC to Frankfurt where I will have a 9 hour layover.  I hope to get out of the airport and see some sights in the city before boarding my flight to Amman.  When I get to Amman around 2am (June 29th at this point) I will buy a SIM card, grab my bags and find a taxi to take me to the flat I will be living in for the next two months.

I have a few days before I start my internship with JRF on July 3rd.  At some point over the weekend I will be meeting with my supervisor at the Jordan River Foundation who has kindly offered to help me get settled in and meet a few friends in the neighborhood (Jebel Al Webdeh).

Thank you to everyone for all of your good luck & safe travel wishes.  I can't wait to start posting pictures of the city for everyone to see...so stay tuned!
