Last day of our group outing and we have a walk round Buckingham first which is a lovely market town but it was very cold so we soon head back to the hotel.

Then we head for Blenheim Palace at Woodstock. Another showery day but quite good when we get to the Palace. We stop for coffee and set off to be impressed.

The house is very impressive, built in the 1700s for the Duke of Marlborough it is meant to show off and succeeds. We went inside but walked through the state rooms on our own rather than on a tour. It is fairly dark and very ornate but the long library was beautiful and the massive Willis organ was being played so we were very lucky.

We then went for walk through the formal gardens and to the lake, but got caught in heavy rain so headed back to the cafe where we sheltered from a torrential downpour then head back to the hotel.

Tonight we eat at the Thatched House Inn with friends we met cruising, it was great to catch up over a good meal.
