After hearing so much great stuff about Ko Tao, we couldn't imagine it living up to the hype but after an eight day stint we still didn't want to leave!

Staying at a cheap guesthouse above a local store we soon made it home by hanging up the washing line and stocking up the fridge. We stayed on Sairee Beach which is the most touristy but has amazing sunsets and the most choice for delicious restaurants and some decent nightlife.

We tried a 'discovery dive' with our xmas money which was a great experience and as both of us aren't super confident in the water was pretty challenging. We did this with scuba junction and had a great instructor called Cam who was pretty patient with us! It was crazy walking around on the bottom of the ocean, it felt like being on the moon! However, it was pretty daunting and after the second attempt at trying to go deeper I had problems with my ears and opted out...

Over the next week I think we made the most of what the island had to offer. We hired an ATV, quad bike that was my baby! I didn't want to give it back! We explored all around the island, it was surprising how quiet some of the other bays were compared to where we were staying! We bought some snorkelling gear and spent hours looking around the coral of these secluded bays, it was better than the diving!

We also went to a great cabaret show, played mini golf, partied hard with some cool people that we'd met, ate lots of gorgeous food, read, sunbathed and had a brilliant time. We didn't want to leave!

Alas...we did
