We were up and about before 8am today. There were fewer people at breakfast than yesterday so we had the pick of the goods. We had toast and apple juice. Jo then snook a Danish out in her pocket for later.

The I-Ride runs up and down International drive constantly throughout the day. Single fare is $1.25. We bought a 5 day pass for $8 as we'll be up and down I Drive all week. Universal and Islands of Adventure are just off the north end, Wet 'n' Wild is half way down, Sea World, Aquatica and the shuttle pickup point for Busch Gardens are all at the southern end.

At 8.30 we caught the I-ride from the stop outside our hotel and less than 10 minutes later we pulled up outside the Sea World gates. For a weekend, it was surprisingly quiet at the gates. Before the turnstiles were opened, they played the National anthem which everyone sang along to with hands on hearts. To enter the park we had to scan our fingerprints and show our passports.

Jo picked up a map and we headed towards the rides. Manta was closed for the moment so we made our way to Kraken. We paid for a locker which was about 30p for the day and entered what we thought would be a decent sized queue. We actually walked straight on and by the time we were finished Jo was in tears of laughter. Next up was Journey to Atlantis the log flume. Again we walked straight on and came off completely dry which was a bit of a dissapointed with as I was looking forward to seeing Jo getting drenched.

The Penguin encounter was around the corner and after that we sat down for the Dolphin and Whale show. It was pretty good and Jo says she's now figured out what she wants to do for a living...a Dolphin trainer.

Throughout the day we made our way around the park taking in the shark encounter, manatee centre, aligator's, dolphins, sea lions, turtles etc..
At the Wild Arctic centre there was a helicopter simulator that Jo pushed for us to go on. She definately regrets that as she had to stop herself being sick as we were thrown around.

We picked up a croissant and some cookies before watching the Shamu show at 2.30. A fat woman in a mobility scooter didn't see a barrier and drove straight into it which ended up with the scooter being almost vertical trapped on the pole. We almost choked on our cookie's we were laughing so much. It was the same woman who was walking infront of us at the entrance gate. She wasn't unable to walk, just lazy which made even more sweet when she crashed.

The show itself was really good. Before it started they asked for any members of the U.S forces to stand up. They played a thankyou video and applauded before everyone chanted USA! USA! USA! There were 6 or 7 killer whales in the show and the 5000 seater stadium was packed. We sat 20 rows back and only just escaped the soaking from the whales.

Manta was running on the way back so we joined the queue. Sea world's newest ride opened last year. You lie face down and are dropped, twisted and turned in the air and on water. The 2nd loop was crazy. It's a 360deg turn, backwards and lay on your back. We went on Manta twice and Kraken a few more times before picking up our bag and leaving. The I-Ride turned up almost immeditely and we were back at our hotel 10 minutes later. The sun was starting to go down so we jumped in the pool while it was still warm.

Tonight has been a quiet one. We used the microwave in the room to make tea and booked a hotel in Oregon. We watched poker for a while and now we're off to sleep. Either Aquatica or Universal Studios tomorrow depending on the weather.

Dad I tried to ring you today and yesterday. I've left you a message on the house phone. E-mail me and arrange a time to talk in the week. I might try tomorrow nigh if i'm back from the park in time.

Nat and Chris on

We're so jealous right now! Chris is angry that we're not there. Actually angry. Glad you're having a good time though, we went to that same crazy golf course when we went to Florida, and Ponderosa - sooo goood!
