2 days ago we had booked up for the craziest day-trip we'd heard of - Cyprus to Cairo!.

We were in Pathos, Cyprus, for a well earned rest; no excitement or activity, just rest, sun and chill. Then the bouncy, happy, excited Duracell bunny (often known as a "the Holiday Rep") who we usually ignored said something about a day trip to Cairo ... WHAT DID SHE SAY??? - book us up baby!!!

Any idea of us joining a small group of intrepid travellers heading over the Med to Egypt was completely blown out of the water when we got to the hotel reception at 5:30 am - it was packed!! This was no covert mission it was a full invasion, with our packed bus being only one of five busses heading to the airport. They had managed to fill a charter plane and we were about to be hearded about like sheep.

After the initial shock of the scale of this operation, we settled down and looked forward to the day.
