Hi everyone! So sorry to pester you with yet another update. I think from now on I'll only send an email once every couple of weeks, although I will be updating the map pins every chance I get.

We've been having an amazing few days in Mui Ne (a small resort town). We rented a super cheap bamboo bungalow on the beach and have been having loads of fun touring around the area on a motorcycle. Turns out Kyle's a great driver, and it's so much more entertaining to go out on our own and be able to stop wherever and whenever we want. There are more tour companies here than restaurants, so it's nice to get away from the tourist swarm and do our own thing.

This area is all about the sea and the yellow, red, and white sand. So much sand, in fact, that there are many small deserts around the area. Yesterday, after seeing the shocking sight of hundreds of identical looking fishing boats crammed together in the water, we went sand sledding. It was a novelty for sure, but climbing up and down the sand dunes was pretty difficult, and the sand in the mouth, down the pants, in the shoes and everywhere else, was a bit uncomfortable. However, strolling around the dunes truly felt like a desert experience, with gusts of wind and crazy rake-type patterns in the sand.

Today we woke up really early to go to the fish market. Among the many living and dead fish we saw, we also saw several dead rats and little kids poohing on the beach. Yummy. After that we rode at least an hour to see the giant white sand dunes. They are absolutely fantastic - giant mountains of pure white sand. The scenery is absolutely serene - blue sky, white sand. Simple and wonderful. And so windy! We walked around for a while and got burned to a crisp and thoroughly exfoliated from the sandpaper blasts of wind rushing by. As we walked back around a mirage-like lake in the middle of the vast white desert we couldn't resist and took a little dip - so refreshing! But, we stayed a bit too long, and before we knew it a huge storm blew in and chased us all the way home. It's been raining sporadically ever since, so we've spent the afternoon uploading pictures onto our Web site.

And that is the main reason for this update - to share some pictures. Enjoy!

We're hitting the road again tomorrow morning, bound for Dalat.

Hope all is well with you!
