Well the final destinations of Tyler's trip were Vienna and Budapest. He and I headed to Vienna yesterday for the day. Dvo is running short on funds (Euro=expensive!), so it was just the 2 of us. We had to be back in Brno last night for a party at Clubwash, our laundry mat/hang out.

We took an early train and walked the ring in Vienna and saw most of the city during the afternoon. We ran into a festival in front of the city hall. They had built a sand bike trail with jumps and were having an international competition. This would be the equivalent of having a bmx competition RIGHT in front of the capital building or something equivalent in D.C. We run into festivals everywhere it seems. Other than that, nothing too exciting except a drunk Italian I had a conversation in German with at the train station. No, I don't speak German, but he didn't seem to care, so I just sat there.

We headed back to Brno and onto the party. It was a blast. One of the owners' bands played. They were pretty good. They played classic rock covers and we danced the night away. Haha Tyler said he's glad he came to Brno because after being in Prague, he agrees it's a totally different experience. He also got to stay in the dorms (in Li's bed- did I mention he moved back home?).

This morning we woke up early and took a train to Hungary. Man, I gotta say Budapest is about 10 times better this time around for 2 reasons:
1. I'm not sick.
2. It's warm! Sunny and 76. As a result, the city is alive. People out everywhere. We ran into ANOTHER festival today. This time it was a stop the smog type of deal with literally 50,000+ cyclists. They blocked off the roads all over the city and across the bridge so these people could ride all over today. It was really cool. Also, thanks to the warm weather, I bought a pair of flip flops and another pair of shorts. I'm starting to feel like I'm in my natural environment, which involves no snow, rain, or frigid weather!

Anyways we're staying here tonight and headed to Brno tomorrow. Then the next day I'm taking Tyler to Prague to send him off!
