Where I stayed

Well I woke up feeling better, so we headed to Prague at 8:45. It is about a 2 and a half hour ride from Brno. The weather in Prague was cold and overcast. We stayed at Miss Sophie's again, which is definitely one of the best hostels in the world. Literally, it's ranked top 10 online.

I am saving all of the touristy stuff in Prague for when Lauren is here, so we showed them where it was and told them we'd meet up with them at 5. In the meantime, Matt and I found a pub to watch the football games in. Matt was really tired and decided to head to the hostel for a nap and meet up with us later, so I moved to the bar, where an old english couple was conversing with the pub owner. We had a good conversation for about an hour, and I learned you can bet on ANYTHING over here, including the U.S. presidential race. If you're english, and your son is good at soccer, you can go to the bookie and get odds and bet on him playing for England by the age of 21! Haha that cracked me up.

Anyways, I met up with the girls and we made our way to the Old Town, where we stumbled upon a festival, which seems to happen in every city. There was traditional Czech dancing and food and such, and we found a warm place to sit down near a food stand. We also had some sort of cinnamon rolls that were awesome.

We met up with Matt and got some food and hung out at a pub for a while. On the walk home along the river, a fireworks show randomly started. It was a pretty good one that lasted about 10 minutes. Very cool to see a fireworks show over the river in Prague. What are the odds?

We went back and went to bed. Woke up, ate breakfast at Bandito's, our staple mexican food there, and headed to Brno. The weather was great back in Brno.
