So, we're home. Travel weary but happy to be in familiar territory. Marc was happy to be able to sleep in his own bed and Chris (this morning) said he couldn't remember a lot of things in his room, "It's really strange".

The boys were pretty hyped in spite of the fact that they each got no more than 2 hours sleep in 25 hours of travelling. So they didn't fall asleep until midnight after chattering with their dad for several hours and showing off all of their acquired knowledge of things Aussie and new gadgets, toys and collectables.

I got exactly NO sleep so you can imagine how thrilled I was to finally arrive in Toronto, get through Customs, collect our bags (minus one, that was delivered today, thank goodness) and get home, to sleep.

The boys finally slept, one until 3 pm and the other two until 6 pm. Tonight should be fun! So it's going to take a few days to adjust (and school starts in less than a week...)

I have to say that this trip was an adventure in more ways than one, being with the boys 24/7 was a challenge for all of us. The boys enjoyed the trip a lot, in fact Andre wanted to stay longer but Chris was ready to go home when we got to Sydney. Marc was busy absorbing everything around him and was quite content with the whole trip. I have to say that Marc was the most even tempered of all the boys in dealing with the many changes of scenery and plans. He certainly developed a much improved sense of independence, which I think he even recognized ("Mom, I just asked that lady for help." when I asked how he'd found a washroom in one of the many places we visited). I'm very impressed with Marc's newfound independence.

Andre has gained a sense of responsibility, particularly when taking care of his youngest brother Chris. Imagine my surprise when on arriving back at the hotel room Marc found a note, written by Andre, saying that Andre was with Chris in the business centre playing on the computers. It was a very pleasant surprise to know that Andre understood I would need to know where they were, so I wouldn't worry.

So this concludes this travel blog... we'll be back I'm sure but probably not with such a long, big trip. Have a great year.
