Capri seems a bit over rated.  It is entirely a tourist trap.  You pay 30 euro round trip to get there, THEN you are supposed to pay at least another 20/person to go see any of the sights.  Also, it seems that the only good sights to see (that we could find) involve going out on a boat (another 20 euro) and looking at them.  And the people are rude, once again.  The highlight of the trip was the fact that I became a tourist attraction.  A group of about 20 people (all very short) all wanted a picture with me because I was so tall. So we only spent a few hours in Capri, and then back to our lovely little town of Positano.

Positano is still fabulous.  We discovered last night that we can sit on our porch and hear the music coming from the piano bar a ways below us (in the back of our favorite bakery.)  The weather is lovely and the food is fabulous.  We had a prosciutto and mozzarella saltimbocca, which is a sandwich made from fresh pizza dough, for lunch.  We watched the dough get folded and baked, the ingredients added, and then the noms ensued.

So, I highly recommend Positano.  Capri: maybe not.  I hear the blue grotto is beautiful, but in order to get there you have about 37 hidden fees and a lot of time on a boat.  Positano is a nice, relaxing little town with kind people and a beautiful view.  And did I mention custom shoes?

I know, if they get to take pictures of me, I should be able to take pictures of them, right?

Yes, curses! You did mention the custom shoes!

What a bummer that the Capri thing is a money pit. Clever of you to bail out.

(The American side of Niagra falls is like that. Always go to the Canadian side.)

Amusing that they wanted pictures of just you. Does George just not count?

Nope, George didn't count. He was standing about 10 feet away getting us lemon granitas...
