It was another lovely day here in Ireland. Unseasonably sunny and well they are a little apprehensive that it might be summer already (ha ha). Spring has started here too with crocuses and daffodils in full bloom.
We ordered room service. yum! It was a full Irish breakfast, yes with Irish Breakfast tea.
Today we took a Dublin Bus Tour (their buses are green) to South Coast and Powerscourt.
Out driver happily picked us up at the hotel (we were the first ones) and told us his name was Jimmy Doyle (no kidding). He made us laugh and he sang to us as we learned about the countryside south of Dublin. The bus was full but luckily since we were the first ones on the double decker green bus, we had the best unobstructed view!
The tour went south through the Blackrock area to Bray before heading inland. Being such a nice day we stopped for a 10 minutes by the sea (to find it was really cold and windy!). It was next onto Powerscourt Estate which has a very large gardens on the property. The estate has many different types of gardens - Italian, Japanese and English and they were all unique. The gardens are still interesting even though it is a little sparse at this time of year.
The estate also has shopping and cafes to keep you occupied. The food was really excellent especially the desserts!
The return trip to Dublin took us through an area called the Scalp where we saw white mountain goats on the rocks by the side of the road.  What a great day in the country.

We enjoyed some tea and a scone in the lounge followed by a swim and a snack of nachos in the room.
