We left at a decent hour since Baton Rouge is only 8 hours away. We don't have any pictures for this leg of the trip, just reports.
Driving through Houston was uneventful for a change.
Our hotel was not the best for a Comfort Suites...it was clean, but they were overbooked for a wedding and we ended up in a room with accomodations for the disabled...the parking lot was torn up and we were way too close to the back exit door that the revelers liked to slam at 3am.
We ate dinner at Boudin's. The web reviews promised traditional Cajun fare and entertainment. We ate fried aligator and oysters. They were kind of pricey. The entertainment was pretty good. A small, what looked like a family, Zydeco band played. The senior citizen set danced (they were fun to watch). I tried to get my girls to dance with me, but they wouldn't. A lady at a nearby table lost a ring and the entire restaurant was all looking for it at once. A boy with an A&M shirt found the ring. It was nestled in her dining companion's entree.
