We travelled to Israel with our friends Eddie and Sandrine on the overnight flight, arrived in Tel Aviv early in the morning and were whisked off to the Kibbutz. After some breakfast we retired to our rooms for some sleep before everyone arrived for the party weekend in the early afternoon.

2pm and everyone met in the central area and, after lots of "hello's", we were told about the afternoon’s activity options. Annie and I opted for Quad Biking in the Desert and, as that was such “hard work”, followed that with a massage :-)

We joined everyone for a drink before heading off to get showered and into our glad rags for supper and the party. Well, what a feast we were served. Then onto the coach down to the Dead Sea beach to dance the night away to the band Tight Fit (they sang “When the Lion Sleeps” as one of their hits). We all danced the night away until the last coach back to the Kibbutz at 2am.

A VERY lazy start to the next day and then back on the coach to the Dead Sea, this time to float in the water. It was great being with some people who were experiencing this phenomenon for the first time. It starts ith the uncertainty of “how can I float” and very quickly moves to “look at me, I’m floating” and then it’s just “this is easy”. It really is an amazing experience and, no matter how many times we have been, still get such pleasure out of floating on the Dead Sea.

To ensure we did not go hungry Yael put on another feast for lunch before taking us back to the Kibbutz and, after all our “goodbye’s” to those not joining us on the coach, we set off for Jerusalem.
