It is not easy preparing for a vacation! Vacation or a Holiday?.. Leaving North Bay to me and going to a far off destination is a vacation; if you know me, going to the French River is a holiday. Everyone has a different definition for both! Tony on the other hand loves any adventure that takes him away from his normal routine; he feels every day is a vacation but then I must remember he is entering retirement mode. Do women retire?

Don't get me wrong, when I get on that airplane I will be excited, nervous, and anxious. I have a tendency to over think everything....but once I get there I make my home! We are travelling to Spain on our own, meaning we always have travelled overseas with friends or family. I love sharing the journey to get there, the setting up of our villa , our home away from home, at his moment, foreign to us. But I will be "ready" when company comes! Kate and Chris will join us for 10 days, and the Provans for another 10. The Provans then head to Paris, nothing like Paris in the spring time! Jessica, Todd and the girls will be celebrating a mini vacation, closer to home during March Break!

Spain...my turn to choose, but a choice I made for Tony. I travel for Tony and have been fortunate to experience many wonderful adventures. Honestly I probably would have stayed put, if my life had gone in another direction. We are preparing right now for our "trip"; we will leave starting Thursday the 28th. Before we leave I am hosting a baby shower for a young woman I have watched grow up with Kate; we will celebrate Tony's Dads' 90th Birthday, how great is that and depart on the 4th, wow March already! we are both sorting out in order to pack very light! I have no problem there, but Tony will admit to this being a challenge!!!!

North Bay is beautiful right now, if you like snow. It is clean and the days are filled with sunshine. We can't complain. I would be very comfortable to stay with my family - children and grandchildren. They probably need a break from me....they are happily busy, it is good!

I have always kept a journal and thought I would try the "travel log" this time. I will include photos, just tap on them to enlarge and get the story! I am looking forward to sharing this journey, it will not bother me if you do not choose to follow. I have included you because you have been part of my journey so far!!

Safe travels,
Janie
