After a good night of drinking we awoke to the cries of a baby at 6:30am! What is this? A friggin day care? Needless to say we were pretty pissed off but managed to stick it out and roll out of bed around 8am. The place was just as I had pictured it the night before. Such a chills atmosphere and definitely a surfing town. We were right on the ocean with fantastic views of the waves smashing against the rocks and again the sun was shining upon us. On the breakfast menu was wheat-abix fiber bars with peanut butter and banana mixed with warm water…now I know it sounds gross and maybe if we were back home it would be but here it tastes fantastic and I have now added it to my regular diet here. We signed up for surf lessons tomorrow, which I'm really looking forward to. I’ve been wanting to surf for about 6 years now! The only other thing to do besides take in the sights and sounds on a hammock drinking a nice cold beer is to go see the hole in the wall. Hole in the wall is exactly what it sounds like. There is a giant rock cliff with a huge hole straight in the center where the ocean comes right through it. It was interesting to see but there was not much too it. Highlight for sure was jumping into the ocean as the waves came thru it and seeing John attempting to climb up the cliff to jump off the top, only to grab unsteady rocks and fall back down (don’t worry only his ego was hurt lol). After that we headed to the liquor store to grab some 750ml bottles of beer for 10rand, I could easily become an alcoholic after this trip, and headed back to the coffee shack for our steak dinners that awaited us. During dinner we ended up meeting two other Canadian guys that are here for the world cup and hopefully we will be heading out in Jo-burg with them once we get up there. But first things first were our surf lessons at 8am.
