Woke up around 7 AM just in time for breakfast on the Cruz Del Sur bus which wasn't too bad. Got off the bus at Paracas and immediately people was asking me if I want to go on a tour of Ballestas Island which I said sure. Went with the first person and brought me across from the bus stop and had me get on the boat which was full with other people.
Ballestas island wow! Amazing....I got too see different variety of animals that includes Humbolt Penguins (only penguins to exist outside of South Pole), Sea Lions, Pelicans etc.
I felt that it was worth a total of 8 hours bus ride (Lima to Paracas and back), cost of tour etc. I was glad that I decided to do this side trip even though it was a bit rushed. At least I got to see what I really wanted to see was the penguins. They were soo cute!
When I got back, took a taxi to Home Peru Hostel which looked pretty new outside but inside was old fashioned which I thought was cool. My single room had four bunk beds to myself :)
Went to a nearby grocery store (kinda like a Walmart) and got some chicken for dinner which was actually pretty good. Better than the chicken we get here in Canada in the grocery store.
Then after, went to catch up on some sleep since I didn't sleep much last night.
BUDGET:
Ballestas Tour: 35 soles
Cruz Del Sur Bus to Lima: 55 soles
Taxi to Home Peru Hostel: 20 soles
Home Peru Hostel: 30 soles
Chicken/drink/snack for dinner: 25 soles
