Yesterday was the beginning of the Contiki tour. I've already met so many people, especially since we had such a long drive on the first day (over 7 hours in the coach), but Australia is a huge country, and we have a lot of ground to cover.
On our way out from Coffs Harbour, where we stayed overnight, we stopped in Byron Bay. its a little hippie town that makes Boulder hippies look tame. it was a cool little town nestled into the trees and surrounded by cliffs and national parks. We went up to the lighthouse in which we had an awesome view of the town, although none of the buildings are allowed to be taller than tree level, and the white sand beach that streches for miles.
