Our first day in the Czech Republic was spent in Cesky Krumlov. It is only 26km from Ceske Budejovice where we are staying. When we got there, we headed straight for the old castle/palace in the centre of the city. We aren't getting tired of castles because all the castles we have been to are very unique and very different in style. This one was no different, and underneath the main walkway to the castle were three live bears! They are named after former kings and queens of the castle. I guess these three bears were the lucky ones because when we took a tour of the castle, pretty much every room had a real bear rug. There were more dead animals in the castle then there are at the Pierson Ranch (not by much though). Cesky Krumlov also has an outdoor revolving theatre. We didn't get to watch a show but we saw the stage spinning. It was going pretty fast. We also saw an underground art gallery and of course climbed to the top of the castle bell tower. More stairs, but great view!
