On the way to the Czech Republic, we decided to make a stop in the city of Regensburg. This little city is an Unesco World Heritage site with some pretty old structures. The main reason we wanted to stop in Regensburg was to see the Old Stone Bridge. This bridge was built in the 12th century and is still in pretty good condition. It is in both of my Bridges of the World books I have back at home, and is considered a wonder of the World. The bridge has 16 arches and spans the width of the Danube. And...if that wasn't enough excitment for one day, in Regensburg's old town, we also saw Germany's most ancient stone building called the Porta Praetoria. It is a gateway built by the Romans dating back to 179AD. Pretty sweet!

We are on the train now heading to Ceske Budejovice and I think we just entered the Czech Republic because there was an announcement and it wasn't in German.
