Where I stayed
Day 27
We go from "primitive" camping to checking into the Great Northern Railway's flagship hotel, the Glacier Park Lodge with a stop at Two Medicine Lakes for some hiking.
Two Medicine Lakes is not as busy as the rest of the park and is similar in that regard and in appearance to the Many Glaciers area.
I recommend both if you ever get a chance.
At Two Medicine we hiked from the parking lot up to Cobalt Lake were we spotted a mountain goat high above the lake on the side of a cliff.
From Cobalt Lake we hiked over to Twin Falls and then back to the parking lot via the north side of the lake, complete with a wade across the river to cut the hike down from 15 to 14 miles.
Hiking towards Twin Falls we realized this has been the trip of 2's:
2 Summits of Black Buttes
2 Glacier National Parks
2 Twin Falls
plus the 2 summit 2 lake hike we did on Orcas Island.
