Hi there

Spent another morning at our hotel, we worked on school work and used the gym facilities.

In the afternoon, we headed out on the streets of Bangkok, we did a lot of walking just looking at everything and taking it all in.  It is a very busy city, people everywhere.  The area wew are in is very busy with markets and food stalls on the street.  It seems to come alive around 6:00p.m. with everybody setting up, and the streets getting very busy.

It is interesting, how the more you walk, the more there is, side streets, back streets, everywhere you go there are vendors.  It is hard to fathom how they can all be making a living, selling the same products, but I guess in a city of 12 million, a lot of people need to eat and buy socks.

I finally took the plunge and stopped for a 10 minute fish spa.  I kept thinking about it, but always kept going.  So essentially, on the side of the street, I pull my socks off and plunge both legs (about halfway up my calves) in an aquarium full of fish that look like algae eaters.  I was freaked out, wanted to take my feet out, but the young lady kept telling me to relax ( I think I could not really understand her), and eventually I became more at ease with hundreds of little fish bitting at my feet and legs.  It felt really weird, not at all waht I was expecting.  I must say that my feet felt quite soft and callous free after ten minutes, believe me those fish ate well!

Came back to the hotel for an hour to relax, and headed out around 7:00p.m, for a late supper. We took this scooter/trike modified to be a taxi cab, down to the markets.  This was cool, it was like being on a ride at a theme park, I thought I was going to die.  It was a lot more efficient and quicker than a cab, especially since we were all too tired to walk.

We spent some time walking around the markets, before making our way back to the hotel.  The markets have a lot more to offer in the evening, and a lot of good deals can be had if you are up for a little haggling.

Back at our hotel at around 9:00p.m, we are going to watch another one of our awesome deal movies, tonight I got Zandrea the whole Season 22 of the Simpsons for $9.00.  I mean really who can resist!

Until tomorrow, Goodnight!
