Like i said we did a cheeky boat trip to Indonesia, we arranged a trip over to Batam on the Batam islands of indonesia, an hour long ferry ride where I fell asleep to find that Joel had been steering the boat for a while...Im guessing thats what woke me up!
Included in our trip was a temple (of course) and then a trip to the factory outlet for Polo clothes, it was cheap as chips in there!!! we then went to a dry market where we were given samples to taste of dry cuttlefish and other things, hanging up were dried seahorses apparantly they taste very nice but we werent about to find out for ourselves,
We were then taken to lunch....well i say lunch I stocked up on the rice as there were prawns, cuttlefish, chilli crab, some kind of seafood in its shell which you had to pick at with cocktail sticks to get at and the best plate of all......a whole fish (eyes looking at you as if to say you have to eat me now!!)
I did my good trick of playing about with the fish as if to look like we had eaten it all but really it was all underneath!!! I learnt that trick in China!
Our last stop on the trip was to a shopping mall, for those of you who know the metropolitan in India.....this was worse! no BG's and no Levi or Lacoste stores anywhere, just some rather bad imitaion Louis Vuitton bags!!!!!
