On Monday 28th we left Auckland city, and ventured out to the coast. Becs and Dave have lent us their house while they're away on holiday. I love this house-sitting business! They have a cat, Occy, who appears to crave attention, so it was just as well we were here. The place is minutes from the  beach, so we've been strolling on the beach, climbing Mount Manganui, and watching episodes of 'South Pacific' (amazing wildlife documentary). The docu is getting us in the mood for South Island - sperm whales, penguins, fur seals, albatross woweeeee

Anyway we're leaving today - a stopover in Auckland on the way up north for New Year - not exactly how it's all going to pan out yet, but looks like we'll be camping at Aunty Pams.....
