Today was more or less of a repeat of yesterday. Since I had been out and about on my own I wanted to show everyone else what I had experienced so we first headed to the Dubai Mall - which was a new stop for me. We saw the Aquarium that is in the center of the mall and then we went out to the Dubai Fountain, similar to the fountains at Bellagio - but of course they are bigger - like everything in Dubai. The fountains back up to the Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world. We sat at a coffee shop overlooking the water and waited for the water show to begin - it was nice to just do some people watching. After a little souvenir shopping we headed back to Bur Dubai - or the historic quarter of Dubai and we showed everyone the Textile Souk and then took the Abra across Dubai Creek and for another local experience. We managed to buy quite a few things in the souk - some more Arabian slippers and some colorful skirts - we will be back in one week so we will have a little more time then for some more sightseeing and hopefully more shopping.
