Saint Germain - in the German Quarter of the city. A small but beautiful old church.
Saint Etienne (Saint Peter) - again a smaller but beautiful old Church.
Notre Dame - the largest Church in Paris and an amazing place to visit.
Saint Chapelle - the most beautiful of all Churches, purpose built by Louis the 1X between 1242 and 1248 specifically to house the relics of Jesus of Nazareth. Louis purchased 13 relics in all, including the Crown of Thorns, which was destroyed in the French Revolution
Sacre Cur- On the hill overlooking Paris.
We had lunch at a Italian Restaurant near Saint Etienne Church. The Pizza was great!.
After visiting Saint Chapelle Church, we went to Galleries Lafayette for an afternoon coffee. This is department store with an amazing roof. See the photo.
Following afternoon tea, we walked up the steep hill to Sacre Cur.
We arrived home at around 9.45pm, still plenty of daylight. The sun barely sets here in summer.
Very tired and feet are sore after heaps of walking. Tomorrow is the Eiffel Tower day.
