I will probably have to add to this later but:

We left DC at 1pm Saturday and arrived into Santiago, Chile at approximately 8am on Sunday. That was some long traveling. Luckily, my friend Erin was on the same trip and there were a couple other students going to the same program from other law schools (Ottowa, Nebraska, Temple).

On the flight down to Chile from Dallas, I made fun of the guy on the other end of my row for a good hour. I was convinced I was being quiet; my friend Erin was not. Then, to my dismay, he pulled out the reading from our summer program. So we introduced ourselves and he seems like a nice guy.

Bloody Mary's make travelling fun. Here's the trick, though: Buy the alcohol before boarding and then just ask for the can of mix for free. Damn, that's good.

On the lighter side of things, I learned while checking in that Elif, who was kind enough to provide a ride to the airport, got into an accident on the way home. She is okay, though, but probably rattled from being rear-ended by some chump.

When we all got to the apt. building, we were all given roommates by alphabet. However, my room is not ready. I know one of my roommates from school but all I know is that he likes to drink and scream at random. I just met another one. He seems alright. We'll see what the third roommate is like a bit later.

I went to check out our room before it was ready. Two guys were pulling out a mattress to replace it, I presume, and the whole apt. was by far a mess. I think it will be a while before we get to settle in.

I think that's it for now. I will just leave you with the one Spanish sentence (actually two) I've learned, which will be highly relevant to my stay here: "Hola, myamo Jimmy. Soy allergico cacuentes."
