On my way to Waitomo to see glowworms!! Or so I thought.. Unfortunatly The Naked Bus to Waitomo was fully booked for today so I had to stay one more day and night in Auckland, which is not what I intended to do. Well it's time to take my own advice at hand again; make the most out of a slightly bad situation. I decided to do a citywalk through Auckland.

I started from the Ferry Terminal to the Auckland Domain, a lovely park with a great museum on top of the hill. The park was a perfect place to do a small workout. Some pushups and situps are easily done on the grass. There's also a perfect tree to do some pullups. You've gotta stay in shape somehow my friends :)

Next stop is Mt Eden, a small hill that gives you a good view over Auckland. This used to be a small Volcano and once on top you can look into it's former crater.

Downhill again, I end up in the western part of the city centre. As I cross the next street I look up to my right and see...HEAVEN!!
It's the famous Belgian Beer Cafe in Auckland!
I've read about this cafe but did not remember where to find it. Lucky me I guess :)
Allthough the prices for the beer are ridiculously high, I think I've deserved a La Chouffe beer after a 10 km walk. Appearently I am not the only Dutch person around here. Another Dutch guy was overhearing my conversation with the lady behind the bar and we end up in a conversation. He used to be in IT as well and runs some sort of a management agency and offers me job. 'We could definetly use a guy like you with your background and talents!'.

Well guys, when I return to Holland and this little crisis thing that's going on ain't over yet, you'll know where to find me :)
