With Khmer New Year heralding the start of the rainy season, last night we were exposed to our first taste of what is to come over the next few months.

A 45 minute downpour transformed our neighbourhood into a grid of Venice like canals, leaving us stranded in a tuk tuk on the middle of Norodom Blvd as the murky waters lapped around our feet.

If this continues, things could start getting really difficult!

At least the rainy season has a beginning and an end! Here it's just a typical Scottish summer.
Maternal advice of the day.....beware of trench foot!
