First off all, we had our dinner, most of the passengers were wearing galabiya, (don't worry men, your wife can always wear it as a nighty later). Everyone was in a real party mood. Before entering the dining room the waiters were outside with their musical instruments, singing and dancing while we all filed into the dining room.
after dinner, the head waiter came and collected my wife and I, took us to an open area, where once again the waiters had assembled with their instruments, giving a rendition of which, I can only assume was. An Arabic version of Happy Birthday, excellent, the head waiter then presented Tarja with a birthday cake. I supplied the champagne for the table, our tour rep gave Tarja a papyrus scroll. That was the dinner, everyone(or almost) moved upstairs to the bar and stage area, thats when the Galabiya party began, the crew really got you into the swing of it, snatching you away from your tables, taking you up to dance, it was a truly memorable experience, just fortunate, that Tarjas birthday came on that night.
On returning to our cabin, the cabin steward, not to be outdone, had taken the ships supply of towels and made so many sculptures on our bed, but best of all was the monkey hanging from the ceiling. at first I thought he was sending me a message, then I realised it was a monkey hanging there.
