After returning home from a very early morning France vs England rugby game we just hoped that they would let me on the flight at 6.30am to Phu Quoc! I let Margarida do all the talking at the airport and lingered in the background.....it was clearly evident who were French and English on the flight as we were all in the same state!

Phu Quoc was a gorgeous quite island 1 hours flight from the coast of HCMC in the Gulf of Thailand. We stayed on Long Beach, a 10km stretch of golden sand along the West coast of Phu Quoc a great spot for watching the sunset. On arrival to Sea Star resort we were greeted by a sparkling ocean and clear blue sky - excellent, and our bungalow was right on the beach.....we were pretty sure that we could endure this for the five nights we had booked.....

As well as plenty of beach bumming on the island and topping up our tans we also went on a boat trip, just the two of us, where we stopped of at 3 different excellent snorkellling spots. We also did some fishing with the crew as well and ate the catch for lunch on the boat!
