In all my years of motoring I will have to say I have never been a fan of, or used retreads, too many strips of rubber on the side of the road! but when a new donut costs $450 you kind of start looking at alternatives. So on to the internet we go to see what the truckies say about Bandags, and it is all good!!!
The Goodyears had done near 70K and were well below the tread marker , so thought it was a wise idea to replace them while we are in a capital city before we set off again in a few weeks. So two new Kumhos at $450 on the steer wheels and four Bandags on the drives at $170, a bit of a difference in price. I cant believe the difference in ride the extra thickness of rubber makes.
So we will see whether it was a smart move or not wont we?

The Bunkhouse has also scored a new digital TV, away with the set top box and the DVD player etc, this one has an inbuilt player and records onto a USB stick, so we have an extra cupboard to store junk in!! Wont say how much $$ or the brand ( a big name one) , the caravan park was buying 50+ of them direct and I was able to buy one at cost, lets just say Harvey is making a killing even when they are on special!!!
