Drove around coast today up to Santa Cruz and back down again. It rained most of morning. Spent a lazy afternoon in our room and then out for a most delicious tea at Charlies Hong Kong. They serve only 'organic' foods they say - we had Rice bowl and Spicy Beef and Don's noodles with peanut sauce and Hoisin Pork - it was real nice and fresh and filling for only $16 including drinks. No waiters - you just order at one window and pick up at another and you clear your own table.
Then we drove into Santa Cruz again and found our way to the jetty. As with others we have seen you can drive out to end for a fee. We wandered around for a bit having a look. Could hear sea lions barking and then saw lots of them under the jetty (they had holes cut in jetty for you to see them). Apparently they are mainly males that migrate here. How they manage to get up on the pier cross beams, I dont know. The parking only cost us $2.
