Where I stayed
Well we have spent two fantastic days at the Indy track, It is an entirely different atmosphere to Bathurst, and I must say we are pretty lucky in having a friend with a top class room overlooking the track. Still have to pay to get into the track and then he was kind enough to give us passes to get into the motel, Holiday Inn in fact. So it made for a couple of really top days, we may have to adjust our yearly calendar to come here after Bathurst. I will post a few pics, but a lot of them are not suitable for a family website, its a pretty wild party place and the fact that the Holiday Inn is the venue for the Ralph magazine girl of the year judging made it even more interesting!
Also it was really easy to get to, 5 minutes along the freeway to Carrara Stadium where we parked the car and then a 15 minute free bus ride to the southern entrance, and a 2 minute walk to the Holiday Inn.
Anyway today we are going to the Carrara Markets and Harbortown and then tonight we are going to the Australian Outback Spectacular. In between I might see the other 2 V8 races on the box!! which really is the best way to actually follow the race, especially with all the other distractions going on on all the balconys about you at the track!!
After that I reckon we are Surfers Paradised out!!
