Well some things in life are still free. Two nights camping with power free and if you want to stay another night it is $22 and then thats it , maximum 3 nights. Its a really nice spot overlooking the dam, with showers and toilets to rival a basic caravan park
So we have been thru Chinchilla, Dalby and Toowoomba etc and will stay here for a couple of nights before venturing into the really big smoke. Toowoomba was a big enough shock to the system!!Last night we found another top spot to stop at Oakey Creek Park just out of Bowenville. The roads have been pretty atrocious, you wonder how they are ever going to be able to fix them all, 1000,s ks of infrastructure way past its use by date!
Talking about ageing infrastructure, had to put a new pressure relief valve on the hot water service today, but still got the clunky shocker and the sat dish to fix. The dish got blown down in a willy willy and busted the wind up gear, not that we use it very often, but I suppose we can use our time in the big smoke to some advantage getting things fixed!
