Yay - back to the Caribbean!!!
Iīm going to get my dive ticket.
Simonīs gonna enjoy $20 dives.
We can finally use our snorkeling gear!
And everyone can pray for no more hurricanes!
3 days later... oooooohhhh whaddaya know, another hurricane. Jill`s travel tips - don`t go to the Caribbean in Hurricane season, especialyl if they are predicting the biggest season ever, ya know.
This one, Felix, also the name of our adopted housecat, is a monster! JUST LIKE DEAN! Anyhoo...
The Bay Islands are divine, we stayed at Chillies in mint little cabins with kitchens and good sunrays and bird filled garden. Loads of hummingbirds, woodpeckers, butterflies, just gorgeous. The whole town (West Bay) is chilled and lovely, witha very African feel. I managed to start my dive course but was cancelled after only one day, so sad but I`m inspired to finish in QLD. Did lots of snorkeling and the marine park is great, cool fish, loads of turtles and beautiful fans and corals, the visability was great, like 30 metres. We will have to come back and do the Caribbean coast in the right season, because we have seen nothing of what we wanted. Sigh!
Anyway, we`ve been evacuated to San Pedro, and flying back to Mexico tomorrow to get out of here properly, beaching in QLD later...
Love yāll, Jill and Simon x
